Hi Filipe - Just few words of caution around your 'show reel'. You have to be careful using the phrase show reel without any further description. These are a collection tutorials and models made for the course by myself and you are following a series of instructions to complete those tutorials. A show reel is a film that you use to get a job and therefore it is film that should be made up of work you have made or significantly contributed too. You should be absolutely clear (film title, blog title, youtube description, text etc) what this work is - A series of tutorials that you followed. Otherwise you are suggesting that you did everything. Does that make sense? - Write about your work and give it the context.
Resit Task - For your resit task we would like you to create a short animation using...
1) One of the 'single voice' sound clips provided (your choice - link below). 2) The Moom rig. 3) A static Maya camera set up (single fixed camera/no camera moves)
As part of the task, you are asked to put Moom into a 'build a world/scenario' based upon the dialogue/audio clip. You should start by listening to the persons voice, their tone, what they're saying, and think about who/what they're saying it to - Think about staging/setting as away into your animation/performance. For example,
The clip above started with just the audio and then was 'made sense of' by the animators choice to set it in a swimming pool. In each of the folders I have given you there is a text document with two possible starting worlds. Where it says 'widcard' that means you can choose your own instead.
For submission, we would like you to make any props you may need (keep this to a mimum though - animation is the goal). Finally, please light and render your short and upload it as a film to your blog..
