  1. Filipe - Before I talk about what I think you should do next, I would like to talk briefly about your approach to your studies. In particular, your improvement and positivity around your work. Your OGR submission for example, demonstrates that change. It is more coherent than your previous work, with a good sense of direction and project building. I think you understand this project as well, alongside enjoying the results (audio/comedy etc). You've attended your tutorials and taken feedback/advice on board too. Overall, this is good step forward compared to where you were in term 1 and year 1. Much more professional, well done.

The next phase of your project involves design, editing, and constant refinement. You have audio, and yes I can see how they link to the creatures listed below. However, each audio clip needs cutting to extract the best bits, then those need editing together to create a short with a beginning, middle, and end. Furthermore, you need to find a character design style that works with your ability, the amount of characters required (Maya setup/animating etc), and the audio clips. What I suggest you do is to start by cutting out the best bits of your audio clips – Leaving you with short audio ‘gags’ to edit together into a longer sequence (animated short) where we cut between characters, revisiting them for the next piece of their dialogue. You may want to start by simply putting the question you asked on screen as a ‘title’ (text) followed by each character’s response, then the next question, and so on.
In terms of character design, I’d recommend opting for something very simple/paired down and characterful/exaggerated. That way you can focus your design around the most important characteristic for this animation – the eyes and mouth for lip syncing. For example,

Note: Time management – Your OGR was late. Please avoid this in future. A late submission at the end of the project could cause you to fail the project.

  2. Hi Alan,
Thanks for this feedback, I want to edit all of the audios again and connect them all in 1 sequence to be able to create my animated short as you said! I am also interested in create transitions between scenes such as this

However I want to create a main character to record reactions to the best parts of the interviews with one of my best voice actors. So maybe I could record her voice as well asking the questions before so I can have a clean comedy way of telling the viewer why are those characters saying those tings, right?
