"Ponyo" is a poetic
animated fairy tale, the main character is half fish, half human.
Normally this type of animation interacts more with young age people but
this one is different.
Great hard work from the animators made it possible. Joining these
two worlds together, in two different ways.
Firstly they made this film for everyone with this massive charm loved by
adults and children at the same time.
The directors write about how a 5-year-old boy called Sosuke who lives in a
house on a seaside cliff, finds a goldfish trapped in a jar on the beach, and
helps him giving him a place to stay water and human food.

At some point Ponyo tastes Sosuke blood as he had a finger cut. Ponyo
begins to develop his special skills almost like a mermaid and healing the
cut, beginning a proper friendship.
Ponyo wants to be human so the animators made him arms and legs pop spontaneously
becoming a little girl, getting to a point that she can speak as well
everything is great until we realise that by passing the limit between sea and
land , Ponyo has triggered ecological changes that unleash a dangerous tsunami
That floods Sosuke's village ending right next to his house.
Sosuke mum went back to the village to help the elderly women’s that she
was working for.
Secondly the next morning a magical escape by toy that Ponyo scaled into
semi-real boat starts.

The 68-year-old man Hayao Miyazaki provided a lot of his artist
skills to 2d animated movies such as "Pinocchio" or "Snow
White" Taking out of it quality and fluent organic piece of work showing
to the world how incredible can CGI get and how to tell stories which in my
personal opinion is really important.
The way he thought about this story is impressing since he develops a
character that is a fish that escapes from the sea. However he as got a human
as a protector as well.
